Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Universe Review

I used to think that advent calendars were just chocolate-filled boxes with pictures of Santa and reindeer on them that grandma’s bought as filler gifts for children.  At least that is what I thought, until I found the advent calendar of literally every girl’s dream that is Charlotte Tilbury’s Beauty Universe Advent Calendar.

Charlotte Tilbury has become a cult classic amongst beauty lovers worldwide.  The products are high quality, work great, and are soooooo Instagrammable.  I honestly don’t think I’ve ever opened up my Instagram feed and NOT seen at least a dozen posts featuring CT products.  So, the proof’s in the pudding, really.

When Charlotte Tilbury asked me if I’d like to try their Beauty Universe Advent Calendar, I’m not going to lie….I fangirled.  To work with such a highly esteemed brand is every blogger’s dream, so obviously I leapt at the opportunity. I know I said at the beginning of this post that I don’t normally like gift sets, but I think I can officially say that beauty advent calendars are the exception to this.  And this one? It is quite possibly at the top of the list when it comes to the best beauty advent calendars.

I had seen pictures of the advent calendar online (like, literally everywhere), but was not prepared for how absolutely stunning the presentation was in person.  All of the items are hidden in little nooks and crannies that are housed in a gorgeous deep purple and rose gold box. And yes, it is sparkly. The box has an astrological design, and is covered all around with stars and constellations.  It’s magical and reminds me of Harry Potter (which in my opinion means that it is officially the holiday season).

The Beauty Universe is the brand’s take on the 12 Days of Christmas, featuring 12 of their most popular items:

Goddess-Skin Clay Mask

Multi-Miracle Glow

Charlotte’s Magic Cream

Take It All Off

Supermodel Body

Wonderglow

Eyes To Mesmerise

Rock ‘N’ Kohl Mini in “Bedroom Black”

Mini Full Fat Lashes Mascara

Colour Chameleon in “Amber Haze”

Hollywood Lips in “Screen Siren”

Matte Revolution Lipstick in “Pillow Talk”

Most of the items are sample size, with a few full size products thrown in.  It’s priced at £150, which may seem a bit pricey but when you think about it, but it’s a really great deal for everything you get.  It allows you to try some of the cult beauty products currently on trend to see if you like them, before splurging on the full size product.  I can’t tell you how many times I’ve bought a lipstick or a foundation because everyone raves about it, only to absolutely hate it after purchasing.  There goes 30 quid right down the drain. So when it comes to beauty products, I think that this is such a great gift idea.

After peeking through and giving the products a try, there are definitely a few that I’m putting on my Christmas list…or just buying for myself because I’m too impatient to wait until Christmas.
