One of the things I miss about being back in the States is shopping at my favorite stores. You could always find me at places like Target (ALWAYS Target), Bonton (RIP), Kohl’s, and TJ Maxx scouring the racks for a good deal. Those were always my go-to stores to shop at for all my clothes. I miss perusing the sales racks in Target with a Starbucks coffee in hand, but you’ll be glad to know that I’ve found just as many stores here to fill the void that Target has left in my heart.
When it comes to clothes and shoes, and where I buy them, I do try to find new places to shop. I’m always game for trying something new. But once I find a place that I really like, I become a creature of habit. So I tend to stick to the same stores all the time, as I’m sure a lot of people do.
H&M
Okay, obviously I’m aware of the fact that H&M is EVERYWHERE, including the U.S. But I honestly have never shopped at H&M until I moved here. The selection in the U.S.-based H&M always SUCKED, in my opinion. Any time I went in, I never found anything that I liked, and came out empty-handed. Fast-forward to my move here, and it’s all of a sudden like I’m discovering it for the first time. I want EVERYTHING. I buy pretty much all of my clothing here, especially my tops and tees. I’m a huge fan of their Conscious line – sustainability, fashion, and comfort all mixed into one. Oh, and they’re cheap.

ASOS
I’ve honestly just discovered how great ASOS is. I can’t believe I never shopped here sooner. They have such a huge range of brands to choose from, and I love that they’re online-based so I can shop from the comfort of my couch without having to put a bra on. I honestly have to control myself on this site because I can (and will) go crazy. I signed up for their Premier Delivery Service – £9.95 per year for Next Day Delivery on all orders. It’s so worth it. Plus they offer free returns so it makes the whole process of online ordering even easier. Some of the items I’ve purchased from here that I LOVE are this blouse, this tee, this cardigan (currently sold out – similar here), and these trousers.
T.K. MAXX
Yes, if you’re from the U.S., you’re reading that right. T.K. Maxx is T.J. Maxx’s European cousin. I cannot tell you how excited I was to learn this store existed. Bargain stores are THE. BEST. Steve had never actually been in one until I forced him to go in one day and he was amazed (as he should have been). I love combing the racks here because there’s always guaranteed to be something good! They have such random stuff, which is great.

ZARA
Another store that I never had any luck finding anything in back in the U.S. Steve actually got me hooked on shopping here. Steve has a better time finding clothes here than me sometimes – we get all of his work shirts here because they’re the only ones that fit properly (he says). I’ve found quite a few blouses here that I’m in love with and I have my eye on quite a few bits to pick up. Recently I picked up this jumper and this one and I love the fit of them. They’re so soft and comfortable, too!
What are your go-to stores?
