I’d like to be able to come up with some witty little blurb, but the title speaks for itself. It’s actually a bit ironic that I’m posting about hair products, because lol I suck at girl things and hardly ever do my hair. But, shockingly, here we are.
Now, just because I don’t really style my hair very much lately – I work from home, after all – doesn’t mean that I don’t make SOME effort to try and tame it. There is the odd occasion that I head out to the grocery store or the chip shop…or the grocery store (someone help me have a life…Or sometimes I just want to feel like a human being when I’m at home. There are several products that I absolutely love. I’m not the type of person that sticks to one brand or product – I like to switch it up every now and then.
So, without further ado, here’s some of my favorites at the moment.
L’OREAL ELVIVE EXTRAORDINARY OIL SHAMPOO
I actually JUST started using this shampoo (because my mother-in-law bought it lol). So far I’m pretty impressed with it. My hair tends to get a bit dry, and this works great on dry hair.
AUSSIE 3 MINUTE MIRACLE PURE LOCKS CONDITIONER
Oh my god, I looooove this conditioner! On the days that I wash my hair, I always follow it up with this. When I first used it, I wasn’t expecting much. How many times have you used a product that claimed it works miracles? Yea, the limit does not exist. But, I gave this a shot. I did what the instructions said and let it sit in for three minutes, and I must say – my hair felt wonderful afterwards! When it dried, my hair was soft and manageable.
SHEAMOISTURE COCONUT & HIBISCUS STYLE MILK
I love anything by SheaMoisture. I brought this from the States, thinking the U.K. didn’t have it, which they do (thank god). It leaves my hair super curly with lots of bounce. I don’t use a lot though, as I find that it weighs down the hair if you use too much. I use a dime-sized amount and it’s perfect. Plus, it smells good…like, really good.
HERBAL ESSENCES CLEARLY NAKED DRY SHAMPOO
I have used this several times, and am currently using it again. It never disappoints. It’s lightweight, smells great, and leaves my hair feeling fresh and volumized. It also has no parabens or colourants. Loveeee it.
TRESEMME HEAT DEFENSE STYLING SPRAY
On the rare occasion that I use a styling tool, I make sure to use this! I have very fine hair that’s easily damaged, so this is a must when styling. It’s bad enough that when I shower it looks as though my entire head of hair has fallen down the drain – I’d like to keep as much of it on my head that I can, thanks.
TONI&GUY SEA SALT TEXTURIZING SPRAY
A sea salt spray is a MUST for that added texture and volume. But I’ve noticed before when using other ones that they left my hair feeling crunchy, or sticky, and just, well, gross. I’ve tried a few, and so far, this is the only one that doesn’t leave my hair feeling that way.
What are some of your favorite hair products?
