My Current Workout Playlist

Because I spend so much of my time sat in front of a computer, I’ve really been trying to make an effort to be more healthy.  My eating habits aren’t perfect, but I am trying to make up for that by ACTUALLY going to the gym.  Back in America, I had a gym membership but lol couldn’t be assed to get myself up and go.  By the time I would get out of work there, I would just be too tired to even think about going to the gym.  I don’t start work until noon now, so there’s no excuse for not fitting in a workout before then.

For the past two months or so, I’m averaging 2-3 workouts per week.  I’m actually pretty surprised I’ve managed to stick it out (so far).  It actually does feel really good to get up and moving, especially because of my sedentary job.

Now, I don’t know about you, but I CAN’T workout without music.  Partly because I’m weird and I hate hearing myself breathing while working out (makes me feel anxious – I know, it makes no sense).  But mostly it’s because I would get SO BORED if I didn’t have something upbeat to listen to.  I think it makes working out much more enjoyable when you have some tunes blasting.  And it definitely makes the time go by faster!

I know a lot of people have specific music on their workout playlists.  Some people like listening to rap, some to heavy metal, etc.  I don’t have a particular “type” of music that I listen to when I workout.  If it has a fun beat, or is upbeat, or if it’s just a song that I really am into at the moment, then it’s going on the list.

Here are some of the tracks currently dominating my workout playlist:

Yea, I will be the first person to admit that I have the most RANDOM workout playlist ever…and that I’m clearly obsessed with Ed Sheeran and Enrique Iglesias.  But it makes me happy and keeps me sane at the gym, and that’s all that matters!

What are some of your favorite workout tunes?
