Okay, so the title of this post isn’t entirely true because the photos aren’t from the whole weekend and are in fact, only from Saturday. Don’t think photos of us on a lazy Sunday afternoon binge watching tv on the couch are necessarily thrilling enough to post on ze blog.
This weekend we headed to Borough Market in Southwark (not pronounced even remotely close to how it’s spelled, I might add) and I managed to snap some photos for once. Yes, they’re mainly of food and alcohol, and low quality. But it was a gorgeous Saturday, the sun was out, and I couldn’t even care less.
At this point, I’m trying to tick off every market in London that I can think of. Greenwich, you’re still #1, baby; but Borough Market was so much fun.
Slowly getting Steve to love Starbucks. It’s the small victories in life.
Absolutely loved the view from London Bridge.
I named this the “Austin Powers” boat.
We ate at Whiskey Ginger in Borough Market – thank god we managed to find some place to sit and eat (and enjoy G&Ts, naturally).
We took a peek inside Southwark Cathedral, which was gorgeous. But to be honest, I was slightly distracted because of this little lady.
The Cathedral has a cat! And she was the cutest little thing ever! Her name is Doorkins the Magnificat, and has been calling the Cathedral home for the past 10 years. She likes naps, having her photo taken, has entertained the Queen, has a book and has 3,500 twitter followers. Impressive little lady.
We also just did a lot of walking around the Southwark area in general. It was too nice out not to be outside walking and enjoying the beautiful weather.
Bridge selfie.
Took this photo solely for the fact that this building is red, white and blue. (#murica)
And then finished the day off with nice Belgian Blonde in the Sugarloaf Pub before hopping on the train and heading home for a takeaway and TV to catch up on from the week.
