Just realized the month is almost at an end and I still haven’t posted this! Here we are at 3 months. Aidan is getting SO. BIG. Like, he’s wearing some size 6 month clothing (I’m telling myself that they must run small to make myself feel better…). He’s such a chunky little monkey, full of so many smiles and giggles now. And I’m talking PROPER giggles. They absolutely melt my heart! He also loves to yell. A lot.
Aidan’s officially at that stage where every. single. thing. he grabs goes into his mouth. Toys? In the mouth. Muslin? In the mouth. Mom’s clothes? In the mouth. He just grabs onto something, shoves it in his mouth and yells furiously as he does so. It’s absolutely hysterical.
It’s amazing watching Aidan develop, and start doing new things. He’s starting to roll over onto his side, so I think we may be close to him rolling over completely! That’s the start of trouble, I think! He can also hold a bottle on his own like a big boy!
We’re still struggling a bit with nap time, and I think we may have hit a tiny bit of a sleep regression (thought that was supposed to happen at 4 months, not 3 months…). He’s getting up more at night than he used to and somehow fights sleep even harder than he already did? Like, I didn’t think that was possible??? Fingers crossed it ends soon because mama needs some sleep.
I still feel like I’m struggling a bit to keep up with his ever growing appetite. This kid just loves to eat! He’s still mostly on the boobie, but I have introduced a bottle of formula before bedtime, which seems to help. I’ve also started giving him a bit of baby cereal each day. I’ll probably get criticism for that, since it’s recommended not to give babies anything until 6 months, but milk/formula just isn’t cutting it for this kid anymore!
He’s starting to become even more cuddly and I love it. When he’s sleepy he nuzzles into me and it’s the sweetest thing ever. Oh Aidan boy, you’re the best thing in this whole world!
