What’s In My Hospital Bag

This post contains press samples and/or affiliate links - full disclosure policy here.

We are possibly days away from Baby #2 arriving, so this weekend I FINALLY packed my hospital bag! A little last minute with things, as always, but at least it’s done and ready to go. I’m sure I’ll repack it at least two more times when baby is born, but all of the essentials are in there.

Here’s a breakdown of what I plan on bringing to the hospital! There’s also some discount codes in there for you to save a bit on your hospital bag and birth/postpartum essentials!

BabyMel Eco-Weekend Bag – I absolutely adore this bag! I used it as our carry-on when we went to America in the summer and it’s perfect as a hospital bag. It even comes with a hanging organiser for easy packing/unpacking. All of mine and baby’s bits fit perfectly in here. I’ve also bought some hospital bag organisers so there’s no confusion as to where anything is (namely for Steve, haha).

FOR BABY

newborn essentials

-Baby Blanket

Nanobebe Soothers – I also bought a Milton Steriliser so I can sterilise them in hospital. I didn’t bring dummies with me when I gave birth to Aidan – the one thing I forgot!

A few misc. things that I also plan on bringing are….
-My BellaMoon Pregnancy Pillow – I could not have survived this pregnancy without it so definitely bringing it as a comfort from home!
-Tealights – to help with my hypnobirthing
-Snacks, duh. And a water bottle
-Charger
-My maternity notes
-Birth preferences – I’ve used The Positive Birth Company hypnobirthing course, and it came with a birth preferences template so I’ll print that out and pop it in my hospital notes

hospital bag

I’m not too worried if I’ve forgotten something this time around as I can always send Steve back home or out to the shops to pick out anything needed. Might even send him out for some mini champagne bottles to celebrate!

What were your hospital bag essentials?
