I’m sharing my favorite gift guide with you guys today: my gift guide for toddlers! I always have so much fun putting these together, and they do help me with my own Christmas shopping for Aidan. Christmas shopping for the kids is always priority, so best to get them ticked off the list first in my opinion! Aidan is getting to that fun age, so I’m really looking forward to Christmas this year. It’s going to be so magical…and absolute carnage, obviously haha.
This gift guide includes some toys that we’ve personally bought for Aidan and love, some that are on Aidan’s list, and some that just overall look like really great gifts for toddlers! I’ve tried to include a range of diferent types of toys – from wooden ones, to the hottest ones on the market, and imaginary/role play toys. I really had to cut this down massively, because you could honestly go crazy shopping for for them, wanting to get them everything! So I hope you’re able to find something for your little one from this list! Don’t forget to follow me on Instagram, where I share even more gift ideas and Christmas content!
Thomas & Friends Trains & Cranes Super Tower Track Set – This is probably one of the most popular toys out there right now. This multi-level toy has a spinning turntable, and comes with Thomas and a few other main characters from the show, and can even be used with other Thomas and Friends tracks. It’s guaranteed fun for any big Thomas fan! Aidan absolutely loves Thomas & Friends, and I know he’d love this. It is a bit pricey, so it would definitely be that one “big” gift for Christmas but at the moment it’s on sale!
Working Wheels Placemat To Go by eatsleepdoodle (c/o) – This is such a great stocking stuffer idea! This cotton placemat comes with 10 washable markers for little ones to color in. Aidan absolutely loves anything with wheels, and this placemat has alllll of his favorite vehicles on it 😉 He is probably just a little bit too young for it at the moment, but we’re going to give it a go (supervised away from literally ALL my furniture of course!). It comes in a tote bag as well, so it can be brought out to keep little ones busy on the go like at restaurants, car rides, etc. The best part is that it can be reused again and again; simply pop it in the wash on 40 degrees and let it air dry and it can be colored in again, making it not only fun but sustainable as well.
Jaques of London Wooden Car Park (c/o) – We absolutely love Jaques of London toys. I’ve talked about Jaques of London so much before because they really do make absolutely lovely toys for children, especially wooden toys (you can read about Jaques of London and the benefit of wooden toys here and here). This Wooden Car Park is such a hit with Aidan. It’s great for any car-obsessed toddler! We have sat and played with this together so much already (yes, I caved already and gave it to him). Like all of Jaques of Londons wooden toys, it’s made from 100% FSC approved wood (i.e. sustainable). It’s brightly colored, and comes with 6 equally bright little cars that zoom down the track. It’s great for independent play, or like I said, playing together, teaching toddlers the importance of sharing.
Ickle Bubba Teepee Bundle – I’ve just ordered this for Aidan and I cannot WAIT until it comes! I’ve been searching for a play teepee or fort for ages, but just haven’t found any that I really liked enough to buy. I think what made me pick this one is the fact that it comes in a bundle, which includes two cushions, bunting and a cushioned playmat.
Amazon Fire HD 8 Kids Tablet – I know this one probably has mixed reviews, but if you are in the market for a table for your child, this looks like the best one on the market. The Fire HD tablet comes loaded with amazing games, videos, apps, etc. to keep your little on entertained, as well as a year for Amazon Kids+ (with OR without wifi!). It comes in a handy kid-proof case, and a two year warranty. It’s on major sale right now, so definitely get now before it goes back to full price!
MEGA BLOKS – What kid doesn’t love MEGA BLOKS? These have given us HOURS of entertainment for Aidan. He loves to build things, and these big blocks are great for little hands. Little ones can use their imaginations to build the tallest of towers, houses or even animals. The possibilities are endless (as is the fun!).
Activity & Music Development Table – Introduce your little one to the world of music with this amazing activity table! It has a xylophone, rolling drum with beads, removable maracas, sliding slots and loads more! This toy helps children with their dexterity and coordination, so it’s fun and educational.
LeapFrog Scoop & Learn Ice Cream Cart – This is probably Aidan’s FAVORITE toy at the moment. We saw one at a friend’s house a while back and he played with it the entire time, so we bought him one! He mainly just drags it up and down the house at the moment (again, if it has wheels he loves it haha), but it’s a great toy. It comes with 8 ice cream scoop flavors, three cones, and three toppings; all the toppings are magnetic and can be picked up with the magnetic scoop and placed on the cone. It also comes with activity cards for even more fun! The best part is you can neatly tidy everything away when finished by storing it within the cart!
John Lewis Wooden Pizza Set – This cute little set is made of FSC-certified wood, and comes with a pizza cutter, server and toppings for lots of fun imaginative play!
Jaques of London Animal Safari Toy (c/o) – Another great gift from Jaques of London! It’s a cute twist on the standard shape sorter toy. It comes with 6 wooden animal figurines that slot into the wooden safari truck. A great gift to help young ones build their motor skills up. Jaques has so many great toys for 2 year olds!
Sand and Water Table – There are so many different ones on the market, so you can’t go wrong with any of them! But this is the one that I got Aidan and its been a big hit. It has three sections that can be filled with sand or water (or whatever you want, really), and came with buckets, shovels, sand molds, and a little stool for him to sit on when playing. It was a lifesaver during those few hot days we had in the summer!
John Lewis 18-piece Kitchen Set – Great for role play, and really cheap! We bought this for Aidan and he absolutely loves playing pretend with us with these. We also bought him the 32-piece grocery set to go along with it. These will go perfectly with the play kitchen we’re getting him for Christmas!
Wooden Alphabet Puzzle – You cannot go wrong with puzzles. They are great educational toys for little ones. This wooden alphabet puzzle comes in soft fun colors and patterns. I love that it’s not the standard rainbow colors that most children’s toys are made of!
My kids are a little older but I love the washable placemat idea – what a great way to keep them occupied and it’s so good you can wash and reuse it! 🙂
Hope that your week is going well! Another rainy spring one here!
