I don’t know about you, but this past weekend flew by. We had a wedding to attend on Friday, and is it me, or do weekends tend to just fly by when you have to attend an event? We got back from the wedding yesterday afternoon, but it honestly took so much out of us! After a long day/night of festivities, and little to no sleep (some guests in a neighboring room were just a BIT loud…), we got home yesterday afternoon and spent the rest of the day recovering.
Also, this was the first time that I was meeting like, a majority of Steve’s family at once, so yea, a bit daunting. Thank god my sister-in-law was there (hey, Lu!). Everyone that I did meet was so nice, and I had so much fun. It was such a lovely day. Now, onto the dress.
No, not the bride’s dress (which was beautiful, btw) – I’m talking about my dress. I wrote on here several times that I was having such a hard time finding something to wear, but over the Bank Holiday Weekend I managed to find one. And with that, found probably the only store I will EVER be purchasing event dresses from: Lipsy London.
Let me start off by saying this isn’t a sponsored post. I am just genuinely THAT in love with Lipsy London that I felt the need the share. So, Lipsy London appears to be a part of Next, but there was an entire store in the Lakeside Shopping Centre for it. They have GORGEOUS dresses that you could wear to any function. Being me, I knew I definitely wanted a maxi dress – I find them the most flattering on me, and think they’re perfect for spring/summer weddings. I zoned in on the most gorgeous (and comfortable!) floral maxi dress, and snagged the last one in my size, hollaaaa. I will definitely be looking for every excuse I can think of to wear this dress again. Wedding? Wearing it. Date Night? Wearing it. Bedtime? Still wearing it.
Sidenote: how handsome does Steve look?! It’s not often he gets dressed up (or that I do, for that matter), but when he does? Ugh, I swoon.
Seriously wish I had taken more pictures in it – really need to ask force the hubs to be an Instagram/blogging husband. Though, I promise you, this won’t be the last you see of this dress.
xx Lauren
