Taking care of my physical health has become even more important now that I have a little one. Of course, that’s always easier said than done when chasing said little one around on little to no sleep day after day. The energy isn’t always there, especially after having covid at Christmas! I’ve been looking for natural ways of improving my health lately. I was kindly sent Steeps One Shot, a a once a day wellness shot, to try out; I thought it was a great opportunity to include something new into my daily routine that would hopefully benefit my health.
Created by Jamie Baird, Steeps One Shot contains a blend of turmeric, ginger, chilli, garlic, onion and horseradish (all organic!), steeped in apple cider for 12 weeks. If it sounds familiar, it should. His recipe is based off an retro recipe from the 70s from the States. All of the ingredients have anti-inflammatory benefits which are meant to rev up your metabolism and immune system.
You simply take one 10ml shot per day. That’s it. You can either take it straight, mix it in tomato juice, or even use it as a salad dressing. I prefer to just take it straight. I’m not going to lie – it’s very strong! I take it first thing in the morning, and it definitely wakes me up. It’s a great way to start my day off and it really puts me into a healthy mindset for the rest of the day.
I’ve been using it for a few weeks now, and I do feel better. It’s not a miracle worker; you don’t just take one shot and magically feel amazing afterwards. But using it over a longer period of time, my overall health does feel better. My energy levels are starting to increase, and my gut health has improved as well.
Like I said before, it puts me into a great mindset for the rest of the day. I’m making healthier choices – I’m exercising more and making healthier food choices (well, most of the time!). It’s been a tiny little addition to my daily routine that has helped make a bit of a lifestyle change. All of this is so important to me, so I can help feel my best and take care of my son.
There’s nothing bad in it; it’s completely organic and chemical free. There’s even a recipe section on the website with some great ideas of how to incorporate it into your diet if you’re not keen on just taking it straight. I would genuinely recommend giving it a try if you’re looking for easy ways to improve your health!
