I figured a little “life” update was definitely due after everything going on. As you may (or may not!) know, we have finally moved! We made the long journey from London to Yorkshire on Friday and have been settling in since. It’s a bit bittersweet, if I’m honest. London has been my home since I moved to the UK, but I’m definitely looking forward to the change!
We’re currently living with Steve’s mom, in an absolutely gorgeous little village, because our house purchase unfortunately fell through at the last minute. To say that we were devastated is an understatement. But there is a silver lining because we’ve found another house that we love (in an area we’ve had our eye on) and our offer was accepted! So fingers crossed everything goes well this time around and we are in our new home soon.
We have family on tap where we are. Steve’s sister and her family live literally across the road at the moment and it’s wonderful for us all to just be able to pop over to see one another whenever we want. Thank goodness we’re only moving to the next village over because I could really get used to this! After the lonely year it’s been, this has been needed. I love that Aidan has more family around him now.
I can’t wait to explore more. Hopefully when restrictions ease a bit there will be a lot of trips around Yorkshire. We already can’t wait to go to York; it’s been so long since we went and we loved it.
