Okay guys, Halloween’s over and you know what that means? Time to open the floodgates for Christmas! I’m in no way whatsoever actually ready for the holiday season, but you can bet that I’m excited AF for it to be rolling around. It’s the best time of year for family, friends, celebrating and most of all….shopping. Some of the best deals start coming out this time of year, and I fully plan on taking advantage of as many as I can. Obviously for Christmas shopping, but I’ll have to sneak in some treats for myself. Am I the only one that always buys myself a little “somethin somethin” when Christmas shopping? No, just me? Well this is awkward…
I’m kicking off the holiday season on Reality in Reverie with an absolute gem. Crabtree & Evelyn launched their Christmas collection and it is so magical! Inspired by the vintage shots of Carnaby Street in the 70s, the quirky, colorful packaging is enough to sell anyone on picking up a little something from it. From candles, to gift sets – even biscuits – there’s something there for everyone on your list (or just yourself).
As someone who loves anything skincare, I’m so beyond impressed with their hand cream gift sets. When it comes to Christmas gifts, I’ve never really been one to buy gift sets for people. To be honest, most of the time I don’t really think they’re worth the money, or do I ever really think that the giftee will ever really get any good use out of them. I always remember being younger and getting skin and bath gift sets would make me cringe. They were always horrible scents and usually on the cheaper side in terms of quality. When I opened the Boogie Wonderhands Hand Therapy Vault,however, I was blown away. Actually, I’m going to backtrack just a bit and mention the packaging again, because if we’re judging by first looks, then the packaging blew me away first.
The set came in this huge box, which was honestly bigger than I expected it to be. The groovy outside cover slipped off to reveal the black and white striped box that housed the hand creams. The color contrast between the two worked so well, and even though it’s not the typical “red and green” colors you see all over everything this time of year, it’s still somehow reminiscent of the holiday season. Also, side note for all of my organizationally-obsessed readers: once you take all the lotions out, it can actually double as a keepsake box. Not sure if that’s what they intended, but such a great feature. For our wedding last year, a lot of my family members gave us ornaments, since we got married right before Christmas. Now I FINALLY have somewhere to keep them safe. Okay, I’m done backtracking/sidetracking now.

Each of the creams has such a distinctive scent, and they all smell absolutely incredible. Before I got sidetracked by the pretty packaging, I mentioned that I was blown away by the set itself. The quality of the lotion is what sold me on this brand. The formula doesn’t feel greasy when applying – it sinks into the skin quickly and leaves skin feeling deeply nourished. And the scent of each isn’t overpowering, but subtle.
We’re coming up to the time of year where the bitter winds dry out our skin massively. My hands in particular get so wind-chapped, so having these to keep in my purse to quickly apply when I’m out is a godsend. This set is such a great gift idea solely for that reason, in my opinion. It’s also great because there are so many options to test out to see what is your favorite, before shopping any of the full size products. I’m obsessed with the Lavender & Espresso Calming Hand Therapy and the Avocado, Olive Oil & Basil Enriching Hand Therapy, so I’m definitely going to be placing an order for them.
