Okay, so I’ve let this slip a bit so I’m just bunching months 4 & 5 together. These two months have shown us so many changes in our little man! He’s turning over and babbling nonstop! Okay, so he’ll only turn over onto his front – we haven’t quite mastered rolling onto our back just yet (he mostly just yells until you turn him back over), but we’ll get there!
His personality grows more and more every single day. He loves to have a conversation with you, and absolutely loves music! BabyTV is a hit, and buys us loads of time when needed to work.
Along with his growing personality, his appetite is huge! I’ve started weaning him with baby purees, and he’s taken to it well. We’re still trying to breastfeed most of the time (or give expressed milk in a bottle), but we are topping him up with formula when needed. This seems to be pretty often lately, but I’m trying not to pack it in just yet and am just pushing on with it as best as I can without stressing myself out or worrying too much about it. As long as he’s happy and fed, that is key.
Sleep is still not so great. His napping in the day has gotten better, and he can now go for about 60-90 minutes at times (other times it’s only like 25! Joy!). He just cannot seem to stay asleep at night. We’ve been doing a bit of sleeping training, which is helping slightly. But it doesn’t look like he’ll be sleeping through the night any time soon. At least all the wake ups mean more cuddles.
I cannot believe that we’re already at past 5 months. I just don’t understand where the time is going!
