Where To Shop For Baby Clothes

This post contains affiliate links - full disclosure policy here.

When I found out I was pregnant with Aidan, I couldn’t wait to start shopping for him. Shopping for baby clothes is way more fun than shopping for myself if I’m honest. I can’t remember the last time I bought anything for myself, and I find myself wearing the same 3 outfits on repeat, but at least my kid looks cute, right?

I thought I would share some of my favorite retailers for baby clothes, as well as a few of my favorite pieces from each!

MAMAS & PAPAS

AMAZON

H&M

JOHN LEWIS

SMALL BUSINESSES

Believe it or not, I get TONS of baby clothes from retailers I’ve found on Instagram! I find myself constantly hitting the “Shop” button and then getting lost in it for hours. There are so many amazing small businesses on Instagram and Etsy, and it’s really important to me to shop and support local and small businesses (especially during this time). A few of the shops that I’ve found that I’ve ordered from are:

All Things Baby London
My Vintage Kid
Momma Makes Clothing
Popsy and Mama
BWRE

What are some of your favorite places to shop for baby clothes?

  • Oh i love next and looking in the charity shop, can always find great brands for great prices

  • I get so many bits and pieces from family, but love looking for new little pieces

    • Same! My son has loads of clothes gifted from my family, but I’ve loved shopping for him as well

    • H&M has so many nice things! It’s always been one of my favorites to shop for myself, so no surprise that its my favorite to shop for baby clothes too 🙂

  • Aww what lovely outfits! I love all the colours, yellows, browns, blues ect.

  • i picked up some great baby clothes for my grandchildren at charity shops and car boot sales for next to nothing

  • Some lovely clothes here, i really like h and m and john lewis, i find matalan can be good too

  • Perhaps not such a good idea to shell out on really nice clothes for a first baby as they can be the correct size for a matter of weeks or maybe a few months as they grow so quickly. If the baby is a first then you may kid yourself you can hand them down to the next baby, but then when the next arrives you may get guilty feelings about not loving the second as much as the first and so you shell out on more new clothes. Maybe best to check with family and friends who probably will be overjoyed to lend some clothes until their next arrives.

    • Yes, of course you do run that risk! There are many things that my son grew out of quickly lol. He also was gifted so many clothes (both new and hand me downs) from friends and family, which was so lovely. I don’t think I’d feel guilty about passing down the clothes to my second child, and the clothing has no basis on how much that child is loved. In my opinion, they were loved the first time around; having a second baby wear them just makes them even more special! So I wouldn’t really say its a “good” idea or “bad” idea to buy new clothes for your firstborn. Just up to your own preferences 🙂
