And just like that, 2.5 weeks has flown by! We just got back from our trip to New Jersey visiting family, and are getting settled back into things. I am absolutely wiped out – and sick! We had so much going on while we were there, that we were just non-stop go, go, go. It was so great seeing everyone, but it is definitely good to be home. It’s always bittersweet because of the fact that we have to go home eventually. This trip was especially that, since that’s the last time I’ll see most of my family until after the baby is born – so we definitely made the most of it!
If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll probably have seen that we had a small gender reveal when we got there and can excitedly confirm that Baby McGrath is a BOY!!! We are so thrilled – cannot wait to meet our little man! My cousin also asked me to be her Matron of Honor, and yes I cried. (Mainly because I’m now considered a MATRON, UGHHH)
Like I said, this trip was hectic! We saw pretty much all of my family, including celebrating things like my grandpa’s 80th birthday, and my first birthday home in two years! We did things like go to the beach and boardwalk, as well – can’t visit NJ without going!
We took a couple trips – one short overnight trip to Atlantic City (no we did not become millionaires, ugh), as well as a trip to Washington, DC with my sisters – I’ll try to get a post written about that one.
I also spent pretty much this entire trip with food in my mouth – I literally ate my way through New Jersey, haha. Was so worth it, but definitelyyy need to start eating a bit healthier now that we’re home.
My family also threw me a surprise baby shower! I did ask before we went that no one throws me a baby shower, but they don’t listen (can’t lie tho – I ain’t even mad). It was such a wonderful day and Baby McGrath is already SO LOVED! And he already has SO MUCH STUFF! So much so, that we have to have most of it shipped back to us because I couldn’t fit it all in our bags.
Now to get settled back into reality and really start buckling down and prepping things for our little bundle of joy!
