I can finally tick another room in the house as “done” on my to-do list! Okay, well kind of – there’s still a bit more I want to do, but it’s such an improvement already. I made the slightly insane decision to paint the family bathroom the day before hosting on Christmas Eve. This room has been at the top of my to-do list because it was just SUCH an eyesore. It was painted blue and gave off what I can only describe as “cold hospital vibes”. My vision was for it to be calm and relaxing, almost “spa-like”. And I think I’ve definitely nailed it so far, especially with the help of this beautiful wall art kindly sent to us from Saffa Designs.

I’ll go more into detail about the actual bathroom in another post when it’s 100% finished but I just wanted to talk about the wall art from Saffa first! All four prints actually came together as a part of a gallery wall. The Leaves and Couples Gallery Wall Art features two A3 prints of watercolour leaves and two A4 prints of a couple, each one facing the other. I love the contrast of the watercolour leaves with the simple black line art. So incredibly chic, and perfect for the at-home spa I’m trying to create!

I love gallery sets because while you would naturally want to have them all together on one wall, they also give you the option of splitting them up and decorating an entire room (or rooms!), tying everything in together. As someone who is a bit indecisive with things, I like knowing that I can easily move these to say, our master bedroom, as a feature wall. These are so gorgeous that they will literally look great in any room!

I spent ages trying to decide where to hang these beauties up. As a new homeowner and someone who has literally never had their own space to decorate, I am still finding my style and what I like. This of course means that a lot of the house hasn’t had my stamp put on it yet. I know I should say “we”, as this is Steve’s house too but let’s be honest…when it comes to the decorating, we know who gets the final say. 😉 I’ve been tackling the house bit by bit, starting with the smallest rooms first, hence why Aidan’s room and this bathroom are the only two that are semi-done.

As I said, this room is definitely not finished yet. I meant to have it completely finished well over a month ago, but it’s so hard to find time to decorate sometimes between work, taking care of a toddler, etc. So getting these prints from Saffa Designs up on the wall was definitely something that I really enjoyed.

I am so happy with how the room is coming together. I do think the artwork has pulled things together in the room in way that it wouldn’t have done without them! You can find so many gorgeous prints, wall art and even homeware from Saffa Designs on their website. All of their prints come with an optional framing service as well. When I ordered them,, I wasn’t quite sure which room I wanted them in or what style frames I wanted so I didn’t go with the framing service (which I am seriously regretting now!). They also offer free delivery on all UK and EU orders; my prints came very quickly, lovingly wrapped and ready to be framed and put on the wall!

I know most of the time the family bathroom will be a mess, full of toys most likely, but it’s still such a calm space. I’m so excited to run a bath for myself and not one for someone else for once! Might even enjoy a sneaky glass of wine (or two).
